Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2012

The 2012 Monte Bello has had time to open and develop and it’s now perfect for drinking. It can still hold good for another 10 or more years, but it’s reached it’s prime. Plenty of aroma and flavor, with plum and fig dominating, flavors from the cask (mostly wood and subtle smoke) and some black fruit. A delicious wine, very expensive but still worth the price. — 4 days ago

Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Dark yet bright ruby. Cherry and oak, a bit muted on the nose. Solid backbone. Love that Rutherford dust. First time trying Bello. Enjoyed it! — 2 months ago

Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Blueberry compote, herbs, graphite, hint of pines, leather, sweet tobacco. Full, deep and lively with velvety tannins and beautiful lift at the end. Great stuff. — 3 months ago

Estate Monte Bello Vineyard Chardonnay 2020

Very delicate and balanced wine, with a strong personality. Subtle notes of pomegranate, grass and citrus, well balanced acidity and sweetness. It could be cellared for 1-4 years, perfectly enjoyable now. — 14 days ago

40th Anniversary Vintage Monte Bello Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2007

Rookie mistake to drink this beauty right after the SQN…but the error of a hedonist, to be sure. This was devoured before it could warm up from cellar but just wow. Iconic. Luscious. — 3 months ago

Paso Robles Zinfandel 2018

History begins in 1885, when Osea Perrone, a doctor in San Francisco's Italian community, bought 180 acres near the top of Monte Bello Ridge in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This is 100% Zin! Dark Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, floral and spice! On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with peppery floral herb spice integrated with fine soft tannins, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with juicy fruit and spice. Nice! — 5 months ago

Estate Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Very elegant cab blend (88% cab), combining grapes from several vines in Monte Bello. High tannins and lot of potential to age. Notes of plum and cherry, blackberry and forest floor. After opening the aromas are very strong and consistent, a delicious Cabernet. — 4 days ago

Monte Bello Chardonnay 2014

Hmm. Lots of oak, buttery, lots of vanilla, moderate volume and a sweetness on the finish. Sub acid.

Starting to get going a week in… definitely gaining volume and complexity.

@Ron R had to snatch this when I found it in a local shop for less than $100, but I actually much prefer the recent vintages of the estate chardonnay.
