This is the most unique and well crafted Bacigalupi I’ve tasted. The color the texture are on point! @Paul T- Huntington @Severn Goodwin @Shay A @Ron R — 6 months ago
Wow, we opened a 2012 Russian River. Subtly fantastic — a year ago
Ohhh, tasty. Opens with sassafras and vanilla. Even better with air, macerated fresh strawberries. Rose stems-or budding rose. A hazy-translucent ruby. Medium to light bodied. Good acidity. Will age well for 15. — 2 months ago
Zin love.
Wednesday wine with this gem.
2017 William Selyem Bacigalupi Zinfandel. Winemaker notes describe this wine as showing boysenberry and black fruits mix with notes of clove and cinnamon. Aromas of purple flowers mix with a complex array of citrus and wood spices that add layer upon layer on the nose. The palate offers wonderful juicy flavors of raspberry, plum, and a gamut of black fruits. Round and silky on the palate, the Bacigalupi Zinfandel always offers an open-knit architecture that is easy to love. The sneaky tannic structure adds depth all the way to the elegant, loamy finish.
This wine paired perfectly with homemade burgers and dinner conversations. Can’t help but smile while enjoying this one. The 2017 is drinking perfectly IMO.

Absolutely stunning. Words are tough to find to describe this beautiful example. Drinking perfectly now. Butterscotch, caramel and almonds define this. Finish is caressing with softish acidity. Drink these now if you have them.. — 3 months ago
Beautiful petite sirah. Will definitely buy again, glad we bought a bottle. Complex flavors and perfectly balanced — 8 months ago

Medium garnet in color with a nose of plum sauce, dark and red cherries, potpourri, brown sugar, and maybe a hint of gun smoke. Nose is delightful and develops the longer it is in the glass. The age has smoothed this wine out nicely. No sharpness at all. No tannin to speak of. Lingering flavors of a cherry jolly rancher on the finish. I remember tasting this in either ‘16 or ‘17 and thinking it had body closer to a cab. I think that has helped this wine to age gracefully. Drink now. First experience with an aged Pinot. I have another bottle of this. Would seem like it would go well with Chicken Parmesan. I’ll make that for my other bottle. — 9 days ago
