Pundericher Marienburg Rothenpfad Großes Gewächs Riesling

This "Reserve", is a new, recent bottling from Busch. Long contact with the yeast, more time in the cask. More phenolic than the "normal" GGs. Very young, needs time.

More pleasing than the Falkenlay, the Rothenpfad shows a certain amount of roundness. Medium acidity. Has also this immense inner density. Enough potential for the next 5-10 years.

Lemonheads & tarragon

Delicate, crisp and refreshing, with a medium bodied mouthfeel. Holding back on the nose, but intensely mineral on the palate, with grapefruit and bitter grapefruit peel. Maybe I’m reading into it because I know that this producer is biodynamic, but this wine is alive. .

Lovely with light and concentrated mineralogy. Good acid crisp stone fruit flavors. Lovely

It's been said that Clemens Busch isn't at its best in riper vintages, and that observation has held up in my experience. Was vibrant on uncorking but quickly I felt the acidity taper off and left this a bit flat throughout a longer meal. The nose showed a nice tropical array.

Really liking this. Great acidity, some nice honeyed fruit. Been open 5 days and tasted best today.
