9.2

Nose of earth and extreme mineral. Cooling red fruits. Some cranberry and sour cherry. Very clean. Palate is gorgeous. Ethereal and textured with sour cherry fruit and wonderful haunting texture and than energy, minerals and freshness next to the that texture. Terrific mouthfeel and inner mouth aromas. Really complex and sappy. Like a great Bourgogne Rouge. Terrific mineral and tangy red fruit persistence. Rustic and charming. Terrific balance. 9.1 but could be 9.2 with more air. As this airs. It firmly goes to a 9.2 as the fruit becomes more expansive and deep. The structure is there but it fleshes out.

After air nose is more tangy and expansive. Loads of spice as well. Superbly juicy and fresh.

I’ve been wanting to try this German Pinot for a long time. Very Burgundian in style. Light in color, but not lacking in flavor or depth. A lovely balance of earth, and fruit, with a backbone of acidity.

With some air, the earth made its way to catch up with the cherry, would have hoped for more integration based on the proprietor's strong recommendation and price tag.

Mild acidity. Aniseed, sage, elderflower. Milky finish. Notes of honey and vanilla.
Excellent wine!
