Still can't tell where this is going. Better to drink up sooner. At times aromatic and floral and at other moments clear and not giving much in aromas or on the palate.

Mar 19th, 2017All olives, dried meat etc. Still a bit closed. Not sure this is improving/opening. May always be this earthier style and will need to pair food appropriately.

The nose foretold an atypical CA Syrah, with earthiness and acidity. In the mouth though, it was just flabby and sweet. Pretty weak even at 20 bucks, Mr. Garagiste

Jan 21st, 2016Plenty ripe, but missing some of finesse and cut I expected, given the vineyard sources, Stolpman and Black Hawk (?) A touch of noticeable VA... Will come back and taste other bottles soon-ish.

May 20th, 2016An amazing Syrah that not only has fantastic notes of blackberries - or actually jam. It also keeps a long and perfected finish. Definitely a recommendation I want you to try if you get your hands on it.

Apr 23rd, 2016Maybe it was the company but this wine punched above its weight. A little higher acidity than I expected but dark fruit and mellow earthiness.

Powerful and ripe. But there's more here: black pepper, earth, and humidor.

Just got in from Garagiste. 2009. Big, raw meat, flesh, that chunky syrah fruit. 14.6% alc says decant, but no time for that
