Excellent. So much better than the '12. Perfumy. Burst of fruit up front, followed by some leather. Long finish. Even better than when I last tasted it. I totally see why this wine has a cult-like following. Bravo Vineyard 29.

Feb 19th, 2017A lovely nose dominated by tobacco and morello cherries. Palette is very consistent with the nose, but the extraction is not overly done. Good length and structure. Tannins are, for the most part, already resolved.
Should not have sequenced this after Papillion, but it's still very good.

Wanted the prime rib but they were out. Brought this nice wine but ended up with a disappointing bring prime rib sandwich. Wine was good! Meal was disappointing.
