Pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with floral notes, typical NZ. On the palate flavors of pronounced grapefruit, green apple and pear fruit with floral and some grassy tones, lively acidity and wet stones. Medium+ finish ending, slightly creamy, with fruit, herbal, floral and salty mineral notes. Nice!

The 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Single Vineyard Taylors Pass is a wine filled with jump-out-of-the-glass green gooseberry, passion fruit, black currant and lemongrass that will make you crave Thai flavors. It’s a light-bodied, young and punchy style, with a little more concentration than the average bear. There’s a gentle spritz on entry and sweetness to the fruit that you wouldn’t find in the Old World. Bags of flavor and juicy acidity too. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, March 2022)

The pale, golden-green wine is quite aromatic, grassy with loads of grapefruit and lemon. The palate shows lots of grapefruit and other citrus, along with a racy acidity. It finishes clean and bright.

A lot of the characteristics of this varietal that turn me off to SB. Strong freshly cut grass with grapefruit and pomelo. Meh, I'll pass.

Nothing sets it apart as a higher-priced Sauv blanc. A bit more contained. Apple, lemongrass and lime. The acid gets bitter on the finish.
