Quite concentrated wine, but shiny.
Fruit and ground to start then tobacco and balsamic.
Successful sip, fresh, nice tannins, palate is not too heavy at all. At peak, very pleasant right now

Sadly my last bottle; seems to be at a high point with a great mix of fruit and earth. Might have a couple years left to smooth off the last tannins but pretty delicious as it is.

Dark purple with hazy residues. Nose is beautiful with plummy notes, oak, and tobacco leaves. Taste is dense and chewy, polished tannins, oak and cedar wood, tobacco leaves, dark fruits, and some smokiness. Aftertaste is long and pleasant, with notes from the tasting. Drink it or keep it for a couple of years.

Blind tasting with Signore Gile. The 2000 was better but still a great wine.

As good as this is going to get. Lots of cassis and herbs, dried cherry and earth.

Powerful ripe cherries, currants, layered with smoke, oak, balsamic acidity on the nose. Taste of tannins, mixed with a bit balsamic acidity, a bit of sweetness, herbs, green tea, and smoky oak. Aftertaste of coffee and dark chocolate flavor is a pleasant surprise. Alcohol is faint and in the background of all layers. It is time to enjoy it.
