I picked this out and I shouldn’t have been surprised, but it was still tasting young. Beautiful petrol and limestone rich aromatics with cut grass and lemon zest. Both dense and nimble on the palate with an acidic backbone. Petrol returns toward the finish with tangerine. I hope to try another CsH one day.

Still much too young to drink. An elegant, beautifully made wine however.

Mar 1st, 20162003 vintage Clos St Hune. Great nose of petrol and ripe apple, wet rocks and hint of lemon rind. On the palate, medium plus body and wonderful texture. The primary fruit is still very evident - the wine is too young. Has a way to go. Medium plus concentration and long length. Not the lean style here; more rounded and ripe. Acidity is on medium plus side. Extremely good wine still on the young side. Drink in 5-10 years.
