Alsace Gewürztraminer

Truncated party notes. Textbook Gewurz, but in the Trimbach style, meaning a bit drier and less viscous than the norm, with slightly better acids. I like the Trimbach Gewurz style (I wish more producers would emulate it.)

Medium lemon color with pronounced aromas of sweet stone fruit aromas with floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of ripe fruits; apple, peach, pear, and citrus with generous spice. Medium body finishes crisp with medium sweetness and soft fruit and sweet spice tones. Medium+ finish ending with dried fruits and perfumed mineral spice. Consistent quality.

Another killer Wednesday Wine Committee lineup. As always, 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind.

I called this Alsatian Gewürztraminer. Loads of lychee & sweet lemon-lime. Low acidity but still had some spice on the finish that reminds me of the grape. Smells sweet, tastes mildly sweet.

Always a crowd pleaser...honeysuckle, peach, apricot and lychee, med acid....perfect at noon on Memorial Day!

Off dry, ripe apricot and peach, honeysuckle and lychee. Extremely floral. Medium body, round texture. Quite complex.
