An ideal wine for pushing through Hump Day and shit both figurative and literal (i.e., dirty diapers). Dark fruits, md-full body, medium tannins, light black pepper. Italy just speaking to me these days.

Juicy and easy. Sour and savory.

I am quite impressed with this Barbera d'Asti. A little tight now, as others have noted, but tons of potential. Some perfectly ripe black and red fruit and the tar and earthiness is nicely expressed. Great acidity! Quite elegant.

Needs time. Far too young and pent-up now!

Ruby garnet and lithe, this definitely shows is cooler Asti origins over more robust Barbera appellations in Piedmont. Still, it shows lots of concentration, and it could probably use 2-4 more years to show more of what it's got!

More approachable (for me) Day Two. Needs air even Day Two.

Очень приятный, ягодный аромат, вишня, сладкие цветы, пионы, очень приятный, с минимум дуба. Вкус сочный, ягодный, полный, вишневый. Отличное фруктовое наполнение. Послевкусие умеренное. 15.5/20 (87/100)

Lots of cranberry fruit up front, a bit too acidic

Dark for a Barbera. But It was clean, not overtly full of oak, and punchy with acidity. I pithy, focused Barbera that worked wonderfully with a peppery pasta carbonara.
