What a very consistent and great value. This continues to deliver great balance, length, intensity and complexity vintage after vintage. According to the label Taylor Fladgate originated the LBV style (vintage character, aged longer in oak barrels and intended to be drinkable upon release).

Had another ‘14. Deep Ruby with classic aromas of sweet berry fruits with bit of spice. On the palate black plum and cherry flavors with nutty cacao and black pepper notes. Long finish, dry soft tannins, well balanced with acidity ending with sweet mineral tones. Great to drink now.

A great Vintage Port from Portugal.

Showing black fruits with cooked figs, raisins, vanilla, sweet raspberries, plums, dark chocolates, mocha, coffee, peppercorn, earth and black tea.

Nice length on the finish with sweet, round tannins.

Already drinking very nicely and will age in the bottle for the next 25 years.

A great after dinner drink. Shared it with good friends.

20% alcohol by volume.

94 points.

LBV ruby port drinking well. LBV is made to drink earlier unlike regular vintage port. Taylor's invented the process and still is one of the best. #oporto #portugal #douro #taylorfladgateyeatman

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Sweet nose of blackcurrants, blackberries, oak, cooked cherries, plums, vanilla, licorice, leather, light chocolates, earth, mocha, pencil lead, light vegetables and black pepper.

Full bodied and bold with high acidity and long legs.

Sweet on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherry pie, dried figs, tobacco, spices, wood, vanilla, cloves, dark coffee, chocolates, alcohol, mocha, caramel, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This vintage Port is young and so enjoyable already. Well balanced and sweet with lots of acidity to balance the sugars out. Good by itself as a desert.

Big and still showing some alcohol, on the palate, and earth notes on the nose, which will go away with time.

Wine Enthusiasts 89 points.

Will be better in the next 10 to 20 years, unfortunately I do not have the patience to wait. 😃

The 2011 LBV ports are here just in time for the holidays, get yours today as these may be the greatest LBV ever made from the different Port shippers (DOW, Grahams, etc...) #oporto #portugal #douro #taylorfladgateyeatman
