Another solid version of this most interesting Syrah-Viognier blend. Dark ruby color. Very Beaujolais-like in style. (Has to be carbonic Maceration.) Cooked berries, purple flowers and grape Jolly Rancher candy on the nose. Same fruit on the pallet with a hint of green olives. Lower alcohol (12.5%) and very crisp (crunchy?) acidity. Very little tannin. Fresh tasting. Can certainly be chilled. Unusual and different.

Northern Rhône-Style Syrah/Viognier blend. (But it’s from Santa Barbara) Macerated berries (almost candy-like) on the nose with notes of purple flowers. Pallet also features candied fruit flavors with hints of black olives and roasted meat. Smooth tannins and Light-Medium bodied. Only 12.5% alcohol. In some ways, quite “Beaujolais-like.” (Carbonic Maceration?) Very nice when lightly chilled. Good grilling wine. Fresh tasting.
