Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett Trocken Riesling

This is another one example of by the reason to age even 'simple' German Riesling. So refined and complex. Great as an aperitif. Delicious with Peking Duck. Both fresh with mineral scent and flavors and delicious with phantom sweetness.

Library release. So fresh, pure, and lively, if not a little primary still yet. Not showing any signs of slowing down.

Had the 2015. Off dry. Nice minerality and structure.

Still young, but nice complexity. Long John Silver would be jealous.

I finally figured out a good food pairing with trocken Riesling: salad with apples, pecans, radish and goat cheese.

Pear and gravel nose, tart peach pits with a chalky finish

Blind tasted. Guessed riesling 97 98 vintage. Pineapple, ripe, petrol, good acidity, light body but still fresh for a '85.

10 years in and awesome. Generous, balanced, with a little zip of acidity.

Phenomenal. Petrol on the nose, but still a crisp, mineral taste accented by dried fruit - apple, citrus, maybe pineapple. Initially refreshingly sweet, acidity helps it settle on the palate for a balanced finish. Absolutely delicious.
