Nothing but excellence from Selbach. A little on the sweeter side, notes of pineapple, apple, and overripe peach. But the beauty of SB Rieslings is their crunchy acidity and refreshing minerality. I find that it dampens the sweetness of this wine to find a very nice balance at the finish. It starts sweet, and ends smooth. Their philosophy is to let the grapes speak for themselves, and these sing to high heaven with pleasurable sweetness, zipping acidity and balance. — 8 years ago

Truly a remarkable wine, my first experience with Penfolds and certainly won't be my last. Classic scents of cherry, blackberry, even a little bit of cigar or dried meat. Intense and complex on the palate, but very enjoyable. Crisp red fruit flavors eventually give way to a deep, almost over-ripe, dried cherry finish. Amazing pair with red meat. — 8 years ago

Phenomenal. Petrol on the nose, but still a crisp, mineral taste accented by dried fruit - apple, citrus, maybe pineapple. Initially refreshingly sweet, acidity helps it settle on the palate for a balanced finish. Absolutely delicious. — 8 years ago

Spectacular Napa Cab - definitely lived up to the hype. Nose is haunting - blackberry, dried cherry. On the palate, it's like velvet. Fruity notes but dry - overall, the best Cab I've had. — 8 years ago

Amazing pink salmon color. Balanced, notes of fresh flower and underripe red fruit. There's a nice chalkiness/minerality that makes this champagne particularly delightful. This is one I will always be looking for. — 8 years ago

This 2014 Feinherb Riesling was my first experience with Selbach Oster, and they are now among my top 3 favorite wine producers. So consistent in the quality of their Riesling, this Feinherb tiptoes a beautiful line between sweet and dry. Delivering classic, decadent fruit flavors without being too sweet. Crisp minerality is very refreshing, and this is reflected in the perfumes of this Riesling. — 8 years ago
