Very contemporary. Stylistically it’s off the charts. No rush to consume this vintage.

So glad I waited on this. Seems to be at its pinnacle now. Wow.

Nice mix of fruits on the red end of the spectrum. Coffee, spice. Plenty of structure.

Another Wine Nerd Herd gathering, this time in Paso. Last nights bi-annual party. -At Brooker Estate’s Guest house. Words can’t describe how much fun we had in the last five days.

Fourth of the blind red wines. Theme was Cabernet Sauvignon or Bordeaux Blend from Oakville, Stags Leap District or generic Napa Valley with professional reviews of 95+.

Dark and deep ruby red. Dark nose with some feminine characteristics, blackberries, truffles and sweet spices. Medium tannins (6.5/10) with a full body. Great acidity and well rounded palate with layers of dark chocolate, black cherries, pencil shavings and cassis. Long and lingering finish. A real treat and would love to see this in a few years. Drink till 2038. (95+)

Gorgeous immediately on opening. I’ve only had a couple of Schraders over the years before recently getting an allocation. But this has the same hallmarks of the 2008 and 2010 I’ve had. Remarkable.

20 years...maybe. This #wine is massively layered with none showing yet. All cocoa, spice and leather right now. Interesting for sure

Interesting side by side. Schrader was dense, balanced, full of vibrancy. A tribute to Beckstoffer and Thomas Rivers-Brown . On the other had, the MX ToKalon was shallow, astringent, green, stem my, umpire, r
