Oct 4th, 2018Wow. This is a big boy from Rodney Strong. There is a caramel/coffee bean element to both the nose and the palette. Definitely the strongest Rodney offering. Wowzers. Pair this bad boy with short ribs or bolognese. Any dish that isn't rich, and this wine will make it its bitch. Good stuff.

Mar 15th, 2017Nice Cab. Restrained but still fruity with good tannin and not overly oaky, which is a problem I sometimes have with RS wines

Feb 28th, 20162014. Sonoma cabernet is just a different cat. Meow! And a friendly one at that. Lean, clean, and just a teensy bit green. This wine runs up to meet you. Not aloof, no pretension, no delusions of grandeur. None of the all-too-common Napa experience of all hat, no cattle. Balanced, concentrated, and inviting. Warning: drinks way too easily. Good acid. Has a few more years in it for sure.
