This wine is all about subtlety and restraint. While 17 was a challenging vintage, there are no signs of that here. Pure mature black fruits on the nose and palate. Dense mouthfeel with viscosity and moderate sweetness. Tannins are integrated, while the acidity is relaxed. Drink this vintage now or over the next 3 years.

Wow. I’m not sure 9.5 is high enough. So balanced, reserved in fruit and structure and beautiful overall. My kinda Cali cab. Hides the 14.5% abv like a champ.

Deep red color, pepper, spicy, ash on smell. Long persistence, high acidity, oaky, meaty, much better to pair with something, a t-bone steak works perfect with it.
