La Pira Barolo Nebbiolo

Beautifully constructed and classically built up, with tar, roses and mineral accents on the intriguing nose. Still tight and youthful but accessible thanks to great fruit and integrated acidity. Drink through 2025 at least. @Johan Eriksson

From a #375 Dense fruit and very pretty. There was an intoxicating but odd just ripening banana aroma on the nose. The tannin level was medium and the alcohol was restrained. Great complexity and length. #barolo #roagna #piedtmont #nebbiolo #italy #ctbucklinwine

The highly expressive nose showed red floral perfumes and sweet spice along with fresh cherry, mint, and crushed stone minerality. It displayed silky tannins on a feminine frame with ripe, pure cherry fruit, cinnamon, clove, and hints of leather. Dried cherry and inner floral tones lingered long on the finish, which revealed a bit of its tannic grip, yet this is pure elegance in a glass.

The '10s are lovely.

Serious entry level Barolo. Wanted to check on it before I laid some to rest. Less powerful right now than the Barbaresco and that might be a very good thing in the long run.

6 hour decant. Sour cherry. Floral perfume. Stones. Beautiful barolo at a good age.

God I love Roagna.

Took a while to open. Earthy, smoke, layered tannins. Nice long finish

A Wine from Roagna's newly made winery in Castiglione Falletto, very dark and fantastic nose, aftertaste soft an delicious, my best Barolo so far, this guy is a genius .
