The Elders Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

Always respect your elders. Which in this case is worth the trouble. Dense fruit. Subtle waves of cherry, blackberry, toffee.

Lovely rich and well rounded. Lots of cherry and blackberry, vanilla and caramel in the middle. Just a touch of tannin at the back.

Incredible Cab. A standout from my recent trip. Fairly approachable now, but with the stuffing and complexity to lay this down to allow the nuances to emerge.

Not my taste. Extremely oaky.

Visiting an old friend. Our first trip to Napa Valley we were introduced to Regusci. Great juice!

Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry and tobacco. On the palate, plum and chocolate some tobacco. Ripping tannins.

2013... usual high quality cab from Regusci. Lots of cherries chocolate and vanilla.

Full bodied, balanced Cab with a one minute lingering finish. Soft, well integrated tannins. Dark vibrant fruit with hints pie cherry, pomegranate, rhubarb and a sprinkling of black pepper.

Better than their madrone, not quite up to patriarch. 2013, would last a long time.

Great smooth wine.
