Popped and poured. Drank in a large line-up of wines so no formal notes. What I can say with certainty is that this is a strong follow-up to the 2017 vintage which was an absolute fire-cracker and one of the best Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon blends I've had from the New World. The 2018 seems to have slightly more subdued fruit but the same racy acidity and minerality which is what make the Alder Grove SB's so exciting anyway. A wine to drink now although they won't go bad anytime soon. I intent to grab more.

17’ Quivira Alder Grove SB. Pale straw color(sitting in the glass all night) it’s much lighter. Medium bodied
The inviting aromas of peach, guava, orange blossom, key lime pie, followed by a palate full of juicy grapefruit & lively citrus flavors. Moderate/light acidity floats nicely on the back of the palate. Serve at cellar temperature!!! Not to cold.
Incredible value at $ 20 dollars a bottle. Cali version of a well made Bordeaux. Just love it!

Quivira’s Alder Grove bottling is one of the better CA Sauvignon Blancs that I’ve had. The bouquet is very pretty with pomelo, elderflower and soft bell pepper notes. On the palate, it’s even more exciting with golden raspberries, lime and minerals. The finish is long with acid that excites, giving this so much life. This is the best wine I’ve yet tasted from Quivira and definitely on my radar moving forward. As a side note: Quivira is a certified biodynamic producer and a must visit if you’re ever in Dry Creek; even if it’s just to walk their property and eat produce from their garden right off the tree or right out of the ground.

Lemon color, med+ acidity, med+ body aromas grapefruit and melon. The semillon adds creamy, maybe even a waxy flavor. Hard to put down. $30?

Super peach, nectarine notes. Not a varietal I usually like but this one was nice.

Grassy, citric, grapefruit-noted sauvignon from a consistently great vineyard.

Delicious. Very fun to drink. Grapefruit and lime notes. Smooth and round - ranks up there towards the top CA Sauvignon Blancs I’ve tasted.
