Dry Creek Valley Viognier-Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Quivira wines are always reliable. This white, with all those years in the bottle, exceeded expectations. Very nice. — 2 months ago

Another beautifully aged wine from Quivira. Classic Mourvèdre. Perfect with ratatouille. — 9 months ago

Wine Creek Ranch Petite Sirah 2009

Lightly spiced boysenberry jam on the nose. On the palate, juicy boysenberry, blueberry, blackberry— all rich but with a pleasant tartness mixed in, and a little white pepper, espresso, and tobacco. Holding up well with age. Surprised that there aren’t many dried fruit notes in the mix. — 3 months ago

Very nicely aged at 30 years. Not profound but I presume not designed to be. — 3 months ago

Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 2017

Revisited one of my old favorites. This #zinfandel is very dark in the glass with deep purple hues. The body is heavy and compact with a somewhat fresh and cassis like. Tasting a savory component as the seed. Mildly tannic, moderate acid. #wine — 3 months ago

Pillsbury Vineyard Zinfandel 2018

Just released and very primary at this moment but there is a hell of a lot to like here and shows remarkable restraint considering the 14.8% abv. The overarching theme is freshness. Dark ruby, almost electric magenta. This is a vibrant wine full of brambly fruit and racy acid; tannins are medium. A balanced wine that’s drinking very well right now and will likely improve over the next 10 years. This would pair wel with any hearty meal. 100% biodynamic. — 7 months ago

Dry Creek Valley Roussanne Viognier 2011

Nice blend, really seems to have a heavier influence of the Sauvignon Blanc component, despite having more Viognier. Good with a vegetarian dinner. — 7 months ago
