Old favorite of my youth, found a forgotten bottle at a relative’s home. Dense purple with some sediment. Ripe red fruit, fig notes in nose. Plum, followed by raspberry, cherry, fig with a hint of prune, slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Tasted hot on initial pour before fruit evolved. Some seed bitterness and mild skin astringency in aftertaste. Decant at least 30 minutes. On point varietally but you better like your Zin style with ripe fruit.

My last of several bottles of this. Every one has been balanced and delicious. It always reminds me of Tuscany. Kind of like a slightly fruit forward Brunello. Love it. Goodbye dear friend. 😢

Beautiful color! Richer than I'd expect for a zin. Enjoyed, would drink...maybe buy ... If I couldn't find a cab.

Blackberry cobbler nose. Rich ripe blackberry and cherry on plate small amounts of cedar and thin mouthfeel. Bright acid for a dry creek wine ...lovely food friendly and not a heavy hitter . Almost like a RRV zin.

A really solid, easy drinking Zin at a good price. More medium in body w enough acidity to hold together.

The nose brings traditional cherry, blackberry and spice notes. The palate is a rollercoaster ride of juicy fruits and oak out of the gate, then hits you with a big savory component of bacon fat and smoke. The finish is long and somewhat tangy with black olive, balsamic and savory herbs. One of the most savory wines I've had in a while. Still not 100% sure how I feel about it, but...definitely a unique Zin.

Tasting notes:
Raspberries, black cherries, and earthy tannins. Enough acidity to keep things interesting

Ripe red cherries and raspberries. Subtle cedar, sweet spice. Full bodied, med acid/tannin and long finish. Excellent value!
