GSM Red Rhone Blend

Savory, red-fruited, distinct mesquite BBQ. A pleasant Southern OR surprise. #ORwine

#wine is ok. one dimensional. There is fruit but I want more than fleeting glimpses of tannin and spice.

Yes, that Quady. Andy's son Herb is making his mark. 2011 vintage. Southern OR is emerging.

Deep ruby hue. Aromas of bell pepper, cherry, ham, pepper, plum, rubber, sage, tar, and violet, with a palate of red fruit and spices. Medium-plus body, with rich, integrated tannins and plus acidity. Profoundly complex while soft and easy to drink. Drinking at its peak is delightful. Blend of Grenache (45%), Syrah (35%), and Mourvedre (20%).

Nice fruity wine with pleasant acidity and tannines to balance, perfect with our pork side main dish.

Very Juicy berry and plum fruit with some noticeable pepper and savory this is better than many California GSM blends that I have had. Still sweeter than many old world versions but still good.

When I sip it, I taste pepper and mesquite. Woodsy. Smooth.
