Popped and poured; enjoyed over a couple of hours. The 2022 pours a garnet color with a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry and raspberry compote, red flowers, and gravely minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and just a touch hot. Not the most memorable Langhe Nebbiolo from Produttori in the last decade or so but it’s totally authentic and still a great value. Drink now and over the next 5-10 years.

Popped and poured. The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo by Produttori del Barbaresco appears a brilliant ruby color with a transparent core and no signs of particles or gas. The viscosity is medium+ with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is a moderate intensity. There is dusty cherry fruit, red flowers, tar, and dried green herbs…a touch hot today. On the palate, the wine is bone dry. Tannins are medium+, acid is medium+…body is medium. Confirming the notes from the nose. Finish is medium and there is a fun sensory experience similar to that of a buzz button; super interesting. Anyway, this was crushable tonight with some Arab-style spiced lamb and rice. Drink now but don’t feel rushed.

Very gassy to start but blew off. Whole bouquet of floral perfume. So pretty and delicious. Amazing value.

My first experience with the 2019 Langhe Nebbiolo. The wine pours a light, bright ruby with a transparent core and slightly watery rim. The nose is all about the bright raspberries and slightly funky cherries. It’s super dry…with extremely firm tannins and high acid. At this stage, the structure overwhelms the fruit a bit which makes it come across a touch austere. However, with time, I suspect this will come around. Anyway, for $20, this is awesome.

This bottle is more silky and persistent than the one we opened 3 weeks ago. Might have to get a few more.

A bit tight at first but after a couple hours opened up beautifully. A clear bright cherry color with hints of mint, starfruit, grass, and a steely Whetstone finish
