Richer and riper than previous vintages that I can remember... prune notes are prominent.
Update: so much better the 2nd day. Stewed fruit notes are much more integrated, and the wine is much more enjoyable. This is one to lay down for a couple years.

Strawberry Fruit Roll-Ups™️, brambles, cumin seed and dried Italian herbs. Firm tannins and zippy acid; long-ish finish. So tasty for so little money. Great with food but plenty interesting to enjoy on its own. Huge value. Makes me wonder how good the Barbarescos will be!

An honest, pure and approachable Nebbiolo. With its pretty red berries, rose petal, tea leaves and spice, this bottle proved that even a humble Langhe Nebbiolo deserves at least a few years in bottle.

This is truly stellar quality for declassified fruit. Rustic, crunchy, vibrant, elegant. As good an entry level Produttori as I’ve had.

Great to revisit the straight Langhe DOC offering from Produttori, a wine I used to buy when learning about Nebbiolo. Great VC and terroir representation here, classic, very agreeable. A little clunky, bit so damn charming in its rusticity.

Rose on the nose, tar on the attack. Nice rush of acid. Cherry palate; cranberry; leather & some touches of sweet tobacco. Terrific value Nebbiolo from a favorite producer, but I should have let this sit in the bottle for a few years. . .

Clear brilliant garnet, a color that radiates youth and acid. The perfume of strawberries macerated in balsamic, Thai basil, and pine yield to an exceptionally light textured and tea-sweet body with lustrous acidity. 14% abv | $22
