A touch ancient at 19 years of age but boy did it still deliver. Straight up Italian tannins still in there drying your palate, ready for food, while the acid lifts the tertiary fruit up to your nose. Wonderful if a touch past it's best.

Incredibly depth and a wonderfully inviting dark profile. Inviting because of the plum pudding, winter spices and velvety texture. If this wine were a room then that room would be filled with mahogany furniture, have a warming fire and lined with deep red wallpaper.

Cab/Merlot (70/30). Intense nose of black fruits, meat and leather, licorice notes, a bit of farm notes. Complex, reach and full bodied, soft and sulky tannins. A bit bitter in the finish with cooked cherries.

Deep purple color. Cassis, cherry, fig, plum, and cocoa. Violet, vanilla, and lavender on the nose. Med + tannins and mouthfeel. Long finish. Still young.

Two weeks ago I enjoyed the 2017 but this is even better.
Great expression of Cab S with chocolate and black berries and a sof and gentle touch of the Merlot cherries.
