Blood oranges and whole cluster-like aromatics. Some funk. Tannins that you could call rustic. Overall, less austere than the last time I had it, with discernible red fruit that has a character that somehow reminds me of really good California Grenache. This is a whole lot of wine for the money.

Haven't tasted this wine since the 11 due to sourcing problems. Tannins still a bit furry, but great richness and depth without sacrificing Aetnean depth or high wire aromatics

So light in color I thought something was wrong. Upon tasting, nope, it's all right. The minerality and zinginess from those volcanic soils shines through. This starts as bright fresh cherries with a little cinnamon stick, dried flowers, and earth, but finishes with brilliant complexity, waves of floral and fruit and bitter herb flavors. Just a really cool wine.

Oh how I adore the color and the TASTE of this wine... Pietradolce Nerello Moscalese, fr Mt Etna, Sicily. Notes of black tar, violet & rose petal across the nose. Don't let this pretty soft see through color foul ya, cuz the mouthfeel is all dried cranberry, bright violet, tomato skin & perfectly sliced beef carpaccio. Yum! A #perfectpairing to the Tomato Braised Duroc Pork Shoulder I enjoyed it with tonite.
