Pieropan
La Rocca Soave Garganega
Buy a bottle. Buy a case. Buy a f*cking skid. How much better than this can it realistically get? What a great wine. Harmoniously integrated and balanced. Every good flavour there is.

Feb 9th, 2019Pieropan is recognised by most as the greatest producer in Soave. The La Rocca vineyard is planted only with Garganega whereas some of the other Pieropan cuvees have a % of Trebbiano in the blend. Floral nutty aromas. An opulent medium plus bodied palate. More dense and concentrated than the standard Pieropan Soave, showing some oak influence. A delicious Italian White which is drinking well now and will go on in good form for a few more Years. Could mistake this for a Chardonnay if tasted blind.

Jan 14th, 2019Yum. It keeps evolving over two hours. Peach, apricot and clove complimented by hazelnut and quince. This is a heavyweight wine with a ton of elegance. It's great today but it could also use 5 years in the cellar to realize its full potential
