2021. Cherry, orange peel, fruit roll up, iodine, dried herbs, slight tar and nice acid. — 9 days ago
Very nice, dry but not too dry, smooth. Good with Veal Marsala. — 15 days ago
Blend of indigenous varieties, 85% Garganega & 15% Trebbiano di Soave, from the heart of Soave, the Winery of Leonildo and Teresita Pieropan dates back to 1860. Pale lemon color with green edges and aromas of fresh fruits, floral blossoms and herb spice. On the palate crisp apple and peach with lemon citrus notes. Well balanced with vivid acidity carrying through to a pleasing finish. Screw cap! — 2 months ago
This wine is medium dark garnet with some brown starting to show. The nose brings enough savory for everybody. Currant, fig, and blackberry notes are draped in earthy scents like pepper, tobacco, oak spice, coffee, and tarragon. The palate holds a set of firm tannins and a racy acidity. Flavors of dark berries, cherry, and plum define the wine’s profile. It will pair well with pork, lamb, or veal. — 11 days ago
Well Worth the Wait! I bought 5 bottles of this wine about 16 years ago (hence the amazing price) and this is my last one…..🙁 Never disappointed, always amazed by its splendid maturation! — 18 days ago
A lovely complement to spaghetti and meatballs with Fra Diavolo sauce. Soft mouth feel and dark ruby color. After decanting and breathing for an hour the dark cherry and chocolate really pop. — 25 days ago
Dark red color with a copper tinge. Aromas of dark red fruit. Medium body. Entry has a hint of sweetness. Dry with dark cherry, tobacco, little coffee notes. Very bright acidity for such an old wine brings it to a perfect balance. Tannins are there, but well balanced. Excellent wine.
