Blackberry, cassis, mocha, black cherry, vanilla, eucalyptus, licorice and oak. Great structure and well-integrated tannins.

Pale ruby color with legs. Aromas and flavors of licorice, sage, tobacco, dried cherries, and dried mushrooms. Intriguing back palate notes of cigar smoke, raisins, and plum sauce. Silky tannins, not overbearing at all. Elegant finish. Sonoma's Brunello!

Brunello in Sonoma. Who knew. Preferred the Rosso di Montalcino we drank next to it. But not a bad new world take on Brunello

Storied Sonoma producer. This 100% #sangiovese grown on #moonmountaindistrict shows the power of terroir. Aromas and palate drinks nothing like Tuscan Sangiovese but instead it drinks closer to Cabernet and Bordeaux blend from the same mountain AVA with punchy black/purple fruit on the nose; distinctive edgy tannins on the palate set against pronounced acidity. 11 years of bottle age is only just starting to soften the tannins a bit. Beautiful age-worthy red wine.

Very unimpressive for the price, definitely not in the same league as actual Tuscan versions.
