Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Oldest in the Penfolds portfolio, Wine includes fruit from Barossa, McLaren Vale, Padthaway, Adelaide and Wrattonbully vineyards. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate ripe blackberry, plum and dried cherry flavors with cacao, espresso and vanilla oak. Vivid acidity, rich ripe fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and a kick of spice, nice! Good value with aging potential.

Trying the ‘15 vintage. Nicely matured now, beautiful Syrah, still fruit forward, with beautiful cassis notes. Rating affirmed 10/2/20. Good wine, but not getting close to the magic of the earlier vintages. Need to check into newer vintages to see where we’re headed.

Dark and rich, very smooth, dry and light on tannins; starts with bold aroma like it will be in-your-face.

2016 vintage. Deep purple. Lots of flavor. Very good for price point ($25).

I’ve really grown to enjoy the Bin 28! Lovely balance here and not at all jammy.

Great for the price. Fruity and bold, but not as much as I was expecting, which is what I was hoping for.
