More like a CDR then a Saint Joseph. Dark fruit, hint of white pepper, spice, dried herbs and medium acid. A little disappointing.

2020 vintage. You can't go wrong with Jaboulet these days! Black fruit, wild flowers and pepper. Medium-bodied, juicy and spicy with ripe tannin, finishing with dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Abv. 13,5%

Complex and savory, excellent representation of Saint-Joseph, notes of smoked meats, camphor, blackberry, black pepper and iron

Very thin and flat PJA ... Weird actually, with a closed nose, low alcohol and acid,
And muted fruit

Had with charcuteries at Paul Bocuse restaurant in Lyon. Perfectly fine; but had some other reds from up the hill from StJ that were of another world.

Black fruits, liquorice, pepper and animal smoke notes. Racy Saint Joseph, on youth. Nice delicacy, without the persistence of the greatest wines in the region. To be tested again in 2 years, to taste it on nuanced notes.

Clear ruby with thin edges and purple accents. Syrah from Northern Rhône is just plain fun and distinct. Appropriately enough, everything here screams Saint Joseph. Smoke and grilled meats along with oak. Lifted aromas of blueberry and raspberry. Toffee and red cherries say hello.

Saint Joseph is almost the forgotten region of the Rhône which leads to being able to find some really tremendous values there. Polished and energetic with fine tannins. Silky on the tongue. Leather, red fruit, and herbs on the palate. You wish the fruit was a bit more pronounced but the overall package is still nice and delightful.
