Sipping Fine Wine

Aged 30 months in Slavonian Oak, a deep crimson red color and gave off concentrated aromas of ripe black fruits and gentle spice. The palate shows rich black cherry, currant like, with a sweet juicy raspberry tang. The wine showed good acidity, balance and depth with silky elegant tannins. The finish ended with a toasty notes, smooth and lingering. I tasted this wine a few years ago and decided to leave it in the cellar for a while, well, I was rewarded! This wine is just about at its peak.

Fantastic! Dark fruit with strong undertones of rust, minerals and earth. Good acidity and gripping finish

Meh. 10 year old Brunello. Been looking at it for years…. But both body and acidity were to slim for this wine to stand up to really anything. Oh well. There is so much more to explore.

Tart cherry, currant. Dry but fine tannins, 30 months in French oak, destemmed. Medium minus body and acid, finishes with some ash and black tea. Ok vintage year. Needs 30+ minutes, better on last sip.
