Have had this before and enjoyed a lot more, but still a solid wine and something I’d drink more of. Gooseberry, grapefruit then tending to pineapple, papaya with grassiness and herbaceous touches in toe. Acidity not as crisp as should be for 16s. Slight phenolics here too

Outstanding sancerre, strange turkey sausage aroma on opening, dissipated with 30 mins in decanter. Wicked citrus and the slightest hint of pepper on nose, extreme chalk minerality coats the palate, big mid-palate concentration, typical pyrazines of sauv blanc hardly detectable here --no n .z sauv blanc can match this power. -2013 vintage

Clear, day bright, golden color with a watery meniscus. Viscosity is med+. The nose is moderate intensity with lifted citrus notes. Grapefruit and lemon peel, a slightly honeyed character from its age and an herbaceous note of tarragon and sorrel. Some orange blossoms and wet slate minerality. It smells oaked. Not sure about that but i detect cedar notes. The palate is dry, medium - body, grapefruit pith with some phenolic bitterness, lemon seed and lime pulp. A dried leafy element. Some wet stone flavors as well. Alchohol is medium, acidity is medium plus, the finish is lengthy.....med+. I haven't had enough sancerre with age to compare this but ill say this is damn fine.

A bouquet that teases you in with intense floral and wet slate aromas leads you through an acidity driven mid palate that literally screams of limestone with a shockingly crisp finish that carries on for days. Sancerre, Fuck Yerre! 97/100

Tough year in the Loire I hear; this says otherwise. Steering clear of dominate pyrazine notes this is awash with green apple, sour gooseberry, candle wax, kiwi fruit, lemon soother and stoney minerality. Hits the palate with authority delivering flavour and depth in spades with high acid and a soaring finish.

Classic Sancerre. Intense aromas of grass, mineral, green bell pepper. Electric acid.

It is the balance of acidity and minerality that won me over on this vino. Tropical notes and pear come through on the mid palate. Really must comment on how nicely balanced this wine is.

2014 vintage - citrus with hint of pepper/spice on the mid-palate - surprisingly full body & length - agree that NZ cannot eclipse this style of Sauvignon Blanc
