Mandolás Tokaj Furmint

Vintage 2021 | spicyness, very pure, citrus, high bitters (imo eating wine), vanilla, long aftertaste. 8 months barrel aging.

Really interesting. Green apple, smoke, wet stone. Body. Seek out again.

Medium lemon yellow . Slight waxy note at first, then herbal tinged yellow fruits , with some citrus , and chalky notes . On the palate this is lightly creamy , with good weight but well balanced with decent quite grippy acidity . More of the citrus , white peach , honied ripe apple . Good length, light herbal tinged finish . Drinking well now and probably over the next 5 years or so .

Smooth, rich, buttery at the first sip, crisp green apple taste at first, followed by a tart lemony aftertaste. Better to let breath for a bit, rounds out nicely with lightly seasoned white fish (we paired with homemade tilapia fish tacos).
