In what other wine can you taste Cab and Merlot blended with Dolcetto? I can't think of any either... The '99 is at its prime right now, alive and kicking. It will never be great, but it's pretty damn good.

Tastes like a Bordeaux, but with more acidity and mineral character you see in Nebbiolo from these parts of Italy. Plenty of life left. 5-7 years easy or more. Fine, but firm tannins frame the finish of dried currants and cherry with some grilled herbs

Feb 28th, 2016A little different for a cab blend, is it the Dolecetto? Some dark fruits, lots of minerality, which after an hour or two faded to notes of leather. I liked it.
