I don't have a lot of experience with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, but I have had a few vintages of the OG Pepe. This reminds me of those Pepe wines, with a cleaner, more focused palate that is fresher on the fruit and more approachable young. Loads of juicy dark red cherry, cassis, tobacco, and licorice envelop the nose and the palate. The tannin are young, fine but quite firm. Another year or two for those to mellow and integrate, but man its pretty good right now. It's good to see more producers from Abruzzo stepping up their game! #prologo #montepulciano #deFermo

Really good expression, a little tight, disappointing fruit for supposed hype, unfortunately was side by side with EP.

Nov 28th, 2015Typical Montepulciano wine with distinctive tannins. Cool trending place with excellent food, but limited wine list. The lounge is a must for tasting enhancement. 2011 vintage (bottles are in need of continued rotation)
