Chevret Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir

insane perfume of various flowers ~ red currant and dark plummy fruits ~ plush, so more velvet than silky...maybe velour! 🦃🍷😻

Understated and pretty

This is a great Volnay remarkable structure, great tannins and acid balance yet beautifully soft and sexy.

Still too oaky and heavy handed for my tastes, but more thoughtful than 2005s, for instance.

This is a dark and brooding Volnay. Has a a bit of a creamy note with the compact dark fruits. A good match with roast duck.

Wowza.

Showing beautifully with ripe sappy red fruits with an interesting herbal, mineral spine and a somewhat earthy finish.

New 1er for me. Pleasing Volnay texture and finish.
