Nice bottle with black cherry and black plum, with med only tannins... seems much more ripe than other razor clean styles of Langhe Nebbiolo.

Founded in 1956 by the sole and present owners, Michele and Giuseppina Chiarlo, son of over seven generations of admired wine growers. Deep red with berry and floral aroma. On the palate plenty of berry fruit flavors, slight spice with pleasant lively acidity. Soft fine tannins, medium finish, well balanced ending with earthy mineral tones.

Solid producer, entry level Nebbiolo with no flaws. Terrific value, and a great introduction to Langhe for your non-Piemonte friends. Rounder cherry tannins, almondine, and ready-to-drink.

Considering the price this wine is all of 91pts. Everything you want from a lean Nebbiolo, tart berries, floral, fennel seed, slight earth, just enough tannin, acid is med-high.

Light bodied, dry and semi-sweet, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Paired well with an eggplant parmesan dinner as it balanced out the sweetness of the red sauce.
