2016 vintage. Mineral and floral with lots of tart red fruit. Tart cherry, unripe strawberry, cranberry, black rocks, hibiscus, tea leaves, lavender. Definitely a lighter expression of Pinot Noir, very comparable to a village level Burgundy from a cool vintage.

A gift from my mother in law: under screw cap. The wine had a barely noticeable orange rim. Deep aromas of sweet roses, black cherry, orange rind, freshly turned earth, oolong tea; all this carried through on the palate, with the black cherry in the forefront. Good acidity and length, 13.5 abv. For the entry level Pinot aged under screw cap I am very impressed. I want to try the GG offerings now.

Delicious fruit and everything was in the right place. Simply a really great, enjoyable wine.
