Stemmy with fruit backing. Fruit roll up, raspberry, licorice, crushed rocks, earthy spice, iron and nice acid. Fun.

2018 is 60% Zweigelt, 30% Blaufrankisch, and 10% St. Laurent. Wonderful aromatics - dark raspberry, sour cherries, almost Lambic like, slight forest floor and savory undertones. The sour cherry comes through to the palate with brambles, and wild mushroom umami. At 12%abv, Pinot Noir like weight, but intriguing complexity.

Good cheap unique red. Nose of tangy black mixed berries and a wild brambly note. Cracked rocks dust too. Pure tasting tingly tangy red fruit. Gets a little savory with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Great acids. Shoulda got more of this . . .

Quaffle well made entry wine of red berries and bramble fruit with good acidity and a layer of forest floor and smoky bacon.

This has the aromatics and body of a Pinot Noir with the flavor profile more like a Zinfandel. Finishes clean. I'd hit it again.

Oct 3rd, 2015Ripe black cherry aromas and underlying dried flowers. Vibrant acidity, a light body, tart cherries, peppery tannins, lingering slate minerals. Beautiful with a little chill on it.
