I ordered this by the glass at a steakhouse which claimed they were one of ten accounts in the US to get this: Mayacamas’ younger cab from vines which were only 10-15 years old. Since they weren’t from the original vines the company removes “Mt Veeder” from the bottle and still advertise it as a Cal Cab...well for a Mayacamas product it couldn’t be further than the “real thing”. At 27$ for a glass it was a big rip off - at Bin 54 in Chapel Hill, NC. Would not recommend this. Shame on Mayacamas for putting this out, explains why only 10 accounts have it. If anyone can shed more light on this please let me know in the comments.

Really exceptional. Red fruits, bright acids, texturally opulent, a fine claret.

Have had amazing bottles of 70s and 80s but this was lacking a bit. Usually great.

Unfortunately, this wine offered little fruit, mostly barnyard/earth notes.
