Jul 1st, 2021Lovely and lush. Soft raspberry edges to the fruit with a plush core. The oak is totally resolved and gives a gentle vanilla hue to it all, then there’s mint and black tea. Beautifully mature and resolved.

May 9th, 2019Amber edges. A lovely resolved nose packed with secondary notes of plum, gnarly fruit, vanilla. Soft soured cherry, beautiful lush fruit still. Great stuff

50-year old wine. Drinking an old wine is adventurous and exciting. Upon opening, it was clear from the aroma and color that the wine was still alive! We could still taste the remaining fruits supported by the good balance of acidity. The wine went downhill after two glasses. With social-distancing in place, it was a quiet night but a wonderful moment tasting its history.

50年前のワイン、果たしてどんな味わいを見せてくれるのか。古いワインを開けるはワクワク、ドキドキしますね。開けた時の香り、色合いから、これはまだいける！と期待が高まります。未だ僅かにフルーツ感が感じられ、酸とのバランスも悪くない。最初の2杯以降は下り坂でしたが、歴史を感じることのできた静かな一時でした。
