Mar 27th, 2021Owner Doug Margerum and winemaker Doug "Scotty" Scott, craft world-class wine working with the top vineyards in Santa Barbara County to produce small lots of premium wines. Vivid Ruby with dark fruit and floral aromas with complex spice. On the palate plum, cherry and raspberry flavors with lively acidity. The finish brings notes of cacao, espresso and earthy minerality on a lingering ending. Nice value.

May 31st, 2020Tag-Line – “Five Grapes – One Vineyard – One wine.” A blend of 54% Grenache Blanc, 21% Viognier, 14% Marsanne, 8% Roussanne & 3% Vermentino (aka Rolle), each component grape was fermented separately in French oak, on their lees, for 8 months, with a small portion allowed to go through malolactic fermentation. Light straw with aromas of sweet stone and tropical fruits and hints of spice. On the palate flavors of pineapple, peach and ripe apple, honey tones and vanilla spice. Smooth and elegant, lingering ending with a ripe fruit character. Very nice Rhône white blend. Tasting Sample!

Apr 12th, 2019NOSE: gentle flowers, sweet white peach, chalk.
TASTE: good - the white peach is very clear - just enough acidity to balance. Really like this. 91.

May 22nd, 2021I very rarely identify everything listed on the winemaker's description, but this is the rate exception: stone fruit (peaches, apricots), crisp acidity (check), mineralogy (check). I've been on a southern rhone style white blend kick and this wine did not disappoint.
