Love. Cherry goodness at over a quarter century!

A terrific dinner Chianti. Intense and a bit angular on its own, it’s got intense macerated tart cherry, mineral-flecked earth on the nose. In the mouth, it’s loud and lean, savory and bright.

Cellar musty nose that wears off after a bit.

Solid fruit, berry blended and a great mouthfeel. Touches of mint, all those tannins softer after a couple of hours of air.
A solid CC.

Floral nose, in the glass the wine is still pretty tannic

Deep, dark color. Lots of black cherry, cedar, saddle leather aromas and flavors. Touch on the modern style, but very pure and elegant

Riper and more candied fruit than many chianti's at this price point. Can drink by itself or with food, I agree it definitely over delivers.

Really nice, moderately intense nose. Dark macerated cherry, fragrant gravel, leather, a spice note. Appropriately lean and flavorful in the mouth. Good acids. A bit of tannin. Flavors have some cherry, but mostly on the savory side, with a slightly pine resiny note. Really nice accompaniment to chicken cacciatore.

Dried red cherry, some toasty oak as well, dry and balanced, solid tannic structure, medium-long finish, very nice Chianti!!

Always love a Chianti Classico! Make sure it has the black rooster! Strong flavours and easy to drink, went well with my steak and chorizo burger.
