Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Post Soldier’s Wish wine. Really smooth cab. Wish it was with a steak.

Tawny coloration with the slightest bit of transparency. On the nose, cherry, currants, plum, forest floor, sweet tobacco and florals. In the palate, full body, cherry, plum, spice, leather, sweet tobacco, earth/dust/minerals, tannins strong and chewy. Long finish of chocolate and sweet berry. Layered and complex wine.

Loved the dark cherry; smooth flavor. Sad we couldn’t get in to the vineyard when we were in Tuscany.

2016 vintage.

Stewed red fruits, a ton of oak on the nose and palate - vanilla, tobacco. The tight structure gives it away as old world, but I could have been fooled into thinking it was Californian

Powdery tannins coat a core of dark bramble fruit, cedar. Still high pitched. Needs time to settle.

Thick red. But smooth after it opened. Dark fruit.

2016 vintage.

Drinks really smoothly and is on the lighter side…with nice jammy fruit flavors.
