Smells like an old rubber dinghy. There's herbs too though and smoked meat. Lots of tannins, burned smoky notes and tobacco. Very dry.

13 year old blend from the Beira Atlantico region. Just beautiful. Smooth and soft, but still very aromatic.

I really enjoyed this wine. It has this super savoury quality that I have very rarely encountered in other wines that makes it really delicious.

The bottle I tried a year ago must have been slightly off, because this time it’s delicious. More fruit-forward than I remembered. Soft cherry with delightful, delicate length. Nicely aged after a decade, not sour at all. Wine tasting is influenced by so many factors - almost never consistent for me.

Very tannic and sour on opening, but much much better on day 2. The acid calms down, and the dried red fruits and herbs come out. Kind of like a restrained Spanish Rioja, the Baga grape brings an aged, savory, less fruity edge than Tempranillo.

N: You might think you’re in N . Italy. Think Ghemme.
It’s dirty all right, tobacco, cigar box, smoked wood, black olives. Some cocoa.
P: Medium bodied, crunchy, bracing acidity!, very tactile, mouth filling but fleeting. Almost that cherry thing.mineral.
Single vineyard Baga expression, could age for yrs.

Fruity aroma at first, but over time changed into full body with complexity @1800, Tuga, 180208
