Barolo Nebbiolo

cooked down raspberry, rich fruit ripe.. full. needs more time- will be fantastic in 5yrs. native yeast.

Supple already & starting to drink well.

Lots of red fruit. Tart cherry.

A good selection in a classic profile that is still firm and fairly closed. Give it a few more years

Xmas ‘23. Loved the cherry and herbal notes on this Italian wine. Received as a gift a year ago.

2017 vintage.
Bright ruby colour.
Raspberry, dried dark flowers, tar and tobacco.
It has a floral and freshness.
Dried cherries, truffles, sweet spices and menthol.
Rustic with earthy richness.
Harvested in 4 sites. Rive in La Morra, Scarrone in Castiglione di Falletto, Baudana and Broglio in Serralunga.
I had a kilo of local fresh Matsutake mushrooms and made risotto with compound truffle butter.

Another wine from Greg’s friend Andrew. A little chalky. But should open up. Very nice. Beautiful color.

Nice Nebbiolo. On the nose, I get tart red cherries and bacon (I think). The palate is similar and it went very well with the veal loin chops with rosemary. Yum!
