Vignes Franches Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Big earth driven Burg, from small 1er cru SW part of Beaune. Dirty red cherries, slight black fruit as well..med + acid, slight vanilla and baking spices

Great dirty cherry smell, smooth easy mod tannins, acid of course there...nothing crazy, but pleasure to drink.

Meh. Dark cherry, herbal notes. Totally fine. Nothing special texturally or on the palate for an '05 1er cru

Brooding earth driven Burg. Needed food

Simple, uncomplicated, rich and alcohol- and acid-dominated CdB from an average vintage (2008).

Cheeky... A nice, simple 99

2006 vintage. Showing some age, but still good and good with food. Lots of fruit.

Pan seared scallops over pesto angel hair pasta. Chive infused butter and bread.

Slight off, agey taste mixed with the fruits in the first 30 minutes before pairing with the meal.

Mellow but very enjoyable.

At Chef Eric’s Culinary Classroom with Garrett and Tiffany. This was a great accompaniment to the filets we cooked!!
