100% Mencia, Deep Ruby with aromas of vivid fresh berry fruits, spice and smoky herb notes, aged 9 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of toasty oak and black pepper. Fine tannins, great balance with acidity, medium+ finish ending with fruit, leather and mineral notes.

Expressive nose of cherries with spices, tea, white pepper. Very primary range of aromas, well handled oak. Great value

Dark ripe cherry with a touch of kirsch. Some woody aromas from the 12m in barriques, a touch of leather plus a pinch of dark chocolate. Quity fruity & round for a Mencia, with the wood v. nicely integrated and the earthy-irony streak subdued and showing only in the finish. This is nicely polished and harmonious, the tannins a touch too dry, but a fine wine and a pleasure to drink right now.

Amazing #bierzo #wine.

Upon opening, aromas of seasoned wet leather, damp leaves, cherry stems. Flavors were harmonious! Acid and tannins prominent on the front and gradually sinking and lightening.

After opening, the smooth cherry shows itself from 10 months of malo. Palate shifts from front to back and the flavors get heavy stewed cherry late. Light, high cherry aromas. The least earthy Mencia I can remember. Opened 2/3/2017

Vino de capa alta, en nariz mucha potencia, ceniza ahumado y monte. En boca potente tánico y con un final goloso y equilibrado.
